10 FluxBuilder Tips and Tricks to Speed Up Your WordPress Workflow
Once you’re past the basics, FluxBuilder has a ton of hidden productivity features that most users never discover. These tips and tricks will help you work faster, maintain consistency, and get more out of the builder every single day.
1. Use Keyboard Shortcuts
Open the shortcuts reference with Ctrl + ? (Cmd + ? on Mac). Key shortcuts include Ctrl+C/V to copy/paste elements, Ctrl+Z to undo, Ctrl+Shift+M to toggle mobile view, and Ctrl+S to save.
2. Save Sections as Templates
Right-click any section and select “Save as Template”. Your saved sections appear in the My Templates tab, ready to insert into any future page with one click.
3. Use Global Widgets
Global Widgets are linked instances that sync automatically. Update a Global Widget in one place and it updates everywhere it’s used across all pages and templates.
4. Right-Click Context Menu
Right-clicking on any element opens quick actions: Copy/Paste/Duplicate, Copy Style/Paste Style, Save as Template, Convert to Global Widget, and navigate to the parent element.
5. Use the Navigator Panel
Click the Navigator icon to get a tree view of all sections, columns, and widgets. Click any item to select it โ much faster than clicking a crowded canvas.
6. Copy Styles Between Elements
Right-click a widget and select Copy Style, then right-click another widget and select Paste Style. Copies all styling โ colors, typography, spacing, borders โ without copying content.
7. Set Global Colors and Fonts
Define your brand color palette and typography in FluxBuilder > Settings > Style. These appear at the top of every color picker and font selector for one-click access during editing.
8. Use Custom CSS Classes
Add a CSS class to any element in its Advanced tab, then write shared styles in FluxBuilder > Settings > Custom CSS. Style groups of elements consistently without repeating widget settings.
9. Enable Dark Mode in the Editor
Go to User Preferences (bottom-left user icon) and toggle Dark Mode. The editor interface switches to a dark UI โ much easier on the eyes during long sessions.
10. Use the Page Settings Panel
Click the gear icon to open Page Settings, where you can set a page-specific background, enable/disable header/footer for that page, and add custom CSS/JS scoped to only that page.
Bonus: Use Finder (Ctrl+E)
Press Ctrl+E to open the FluxBuilder Finder โ a quick search bar to find any widget, template, or page setting instantly.
